Architectural Models

Model built for a competition. The structure lies on the U.S.-Mexico border, and incorporates a variety of security measures.
Exterior view of a large dollhouse model made for Boston developers. The model was built to show what completed, furnished condos would look like to potential buyers. For this project, I worked closely with developers, architects and interior designers to accurately render every detail of the model, both exterior and interior.

This exterior view shows the meticulously color-matched, laser etched bricks and window details.
This view shows the model in plan view. The gray color is a 'section color', depicting the ceiling heights in each room. These models are difficult to build accurately, so I developed a new method of construction using walls that are laser-cut for windows and doors directly from the provided elevations.
Interior view of the living room. Furniture was built from decorator's scrapbook and plan dimensions. Carpets are scanned, color-accurate prints of originals. Artwork is from Boston galleries who enjoy the exposure these models provide. All colors and finishes are accurately depicted.
This view shows the kitchen, featuiring Miele appliances and custom walnut cabinets. The stone finishes used in the bathrooms are based on samples of the actual stone used in the apartments.
