Skills
Design
Graphic design for both informational and promotional purposes; meticulous model making skills, paint color matching, photo manipulation. Product development, can work with suppliers and fabricators. Experience with both product and architectural photography. My main skill is probably visual communication - using the verbal, chromatic and spatial dimensions to make complex ideas simple.
Mechanical
I can design for and use a wide variety of machinery, including wire benders, sheet metal benders, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, tablesaws, planers, jointers, routers, vacuum formers, laser cutters. I have made a lot of things, which makes it easy to show other people how to make things for me.
Computer
Photoshop, Quark, InDesign, Illustrator, AutoCAD, Solidworks, rapid prototyping, laser cutting of various materials, audio recording and editing. Maxwell Render, Brazil, 3D Studio MAX, Rhino, RADIANCE, formZ.
Strengths
I am always concerned with communication: choosing the right words and the right images. I find working with small groups to be extremely rewarding but have also had some experience with more self-directed projects.
